No Pep In My Step

I am not sick, but I just feel blah. My tummy is not in the mood for food or motion.

I did want to tell you that I made my first bloggy phone call last night. I won't say to who in case he/she doesn't want the world to know he/she is my friend, but it was a nice, fairly long, comfortable chit chat. We laughed and shared just like we do via the Internet, but the phone was even better!  As I have with every single thing I have conquered big and small, when it was over I wondered what the fuss was all about.

I had planned to make call number 2 today, but I can't muster any energy. I don't think anyone wants to talk to me in my ho-hum state anyway.

The Minuteman has some extremely good posts up. I always enjoy his perspective, but he really has been hitting things out of the park lately.

  1. What's a phone? haha just joking. Does it make you feel like a teenager again chit chatting it up on the phone?

Sorry your not up to par today. Mr. Alien is home sick. Got to love the stomach bug, it's the gift that keeps on giving.

    3. That could be. There's a stomach bug going around. several of Mrs.Alien's coworkers' husbands are down with it as well, and I know of at least one guy at one of the companies we do IT for that is in the same condition I am (at work today, but questioning why).

  3. Hey there! I met you at the FPFTraining CCSD class June 2-3 and wanted to drop you a note to say how much I enjoy the blog. It's on my wife's To-Read list as well.

I also wanted to see if you were aware of or had heard of the Packing Pretty 1st Annual Concealed Carry fashion show (http://packingpretty.com/2012/06/18/packing-pretty-hosting-a-cc-fashion-show/)

Looks like a great event. Keep up the great writing!

  7. I am aware of my bad health, but it's the days upon days when I just*don't*feel*good, yet can't describe one particular problem. A lot of times, it's not my body as much as my 'time to go to ZZZZZ" lethargy.

So, ya only gotta do what ya gotta do-and nothing else. Go easy on yourself.

  9. I had a great time talking to you (yes, the cat is out of the bag) and you were quite patient while Barkley went into his Demented Air Compressor Routine in the phone as we returned from our outing in the truck and he spotted home.

Sorry the bluetooth thing hung up that one time, but it was a great chat!

    1. Barkley is a hoot. I enjoyed "talking" with him to you or I guess listening....he did all the conversing.

  10. Sorry your feeling poorly, I can relate as I've been having tummy problem's this last week myself. The NP believes mine are medicine related so some change's are taking place. I enjoy commenting in some bloggers blogs but never really think on calling them. Though I will say that Brigid, Tam and Bobbie all sound wickedly funny. I suspect that you have a humor side as well. Oh well, bland food, no coffee and a bit of time heals a sour belly.

    1. Sorry for your tummy troubles too. Glad you are getting the med situation worked out though!

Yes, I bet they are crazy fun in person or the phone.

Hope you can get back to a more normal diet soon...I could give up a lot of food, but I do enjoy a cup of coffee in the am.

    1. I don't get to as many blogs either. Summer with my kids is nutty...thank goodness for my phone, so I can at least pop in real quick to my must read blogs:)

      Don't work too hard!

  12. Sounds like no fun, minus the phone call. What model S&W is that at the top of the blog?

    1. Tyler, it's a full size M&P 9mm.

    2. Great choice, I love Smith and Wesson. My theory is that, as ammo costs rise, more people will switch to 9mm models.
