T & A

I have been wanting to have pictures taken of me and my gun for a while, but I haven't been able to figure out exactly what I want those pictures to look like.  I am not creative at all.  I am a very linear thinker.  The other day I saw this on the Glock Facebook page

I love it!  This woman is very sexy and strong, but not trashy.  I, of course, do not want to copy her photo, but I think this is the type of picture I would like to do. So I took to the internet to find other images.  You might be surprised to learn I did not find many photos such as these.  What I did find were lots of photos like this

My first thought was, yes, yes, yes, this is exactly how I dress when I am training.  Since I got my new belt holster, I have had to make a few minor adjustments to my training outfits, but this picture pretty much covers it, or uncovers it as it were.  The risk to taking pictures of my actual training regime is that I would be informing the enemy of and thus taking away my tactical advantage.

In a surprisingly short conversation with my husband, we decided that it would not be wise to display so much of my T & A(Tactical Advantage), so the search continues.

  2. Yep, revealing your Tactical Advantages could have serious consequences. One must be very careful to choose the appropriate time and place.

    2. Unknown, thank you for the video. I have seen it before. It's very useful, but this post was about "outfits" for pictures. I carry every single day, but those are not the kind of pics I am looking for. I appreciate you giving me the resource though.

  4. That top pic looks to have come from Rebel Pin-up Page. Most pics are tastefull and compliment the beauty of "normal"-ish women. IMHO.
I'm kinda a sucker for the whole era when gals could be thought of as beautiful when fully clothed. A crazy concept by today's standards.

    1. Agreed. I'd much prefer to meet a woman (were I not married, of course!) from the "Chicks With Guns" book than some no-braincell-half-nekkid hottie in a garage-service-center pinup-calendar.

  6. I guess the Flash-Bang bra holster is out of the question for the gal in the second photo... as there is no bra to attach it to for that young lady...

  7. I love the classy photos so much more. I'm not a fan of the trashy with guns stuff. Flipping through some of the pics in Russell's link, I had an idea.

Can you say Mosin? Go with the Old-World Russian look and that Mosin. Now that would be cool. Look for some pics of Lyudmila Pavlechenko. Now that was an awesome woman with a Mosin.

  8. Two syllables: "Steam" and "Punk". Now, THAT'S some classy stuff! And fun, too!

...if only the wife agreed. *sigh*

  10. Look for female Zoot Suit shooters. They dress up in that period dress and go shooting, ala Cowboy Action with an update.

And I agree, most of the girls-n-guns pics on-line are soft core pR0n, at best.

  11. You should take a look at Oleg Volk. He photographes normal women with guns, very classy.

However don't rule out doing some shots for the husband only. I got some from my wife and am VERY happy with them.

  12. I would like to be in a "Bonnie and Clyde" type pic. That is why I like the first one you posted, she looks like a fifties gangster girl, and that would also make an awesome tattoo.

  13. However - showing that much of your tactical advantage may significantly distract your assilant giving those around you time to escape while you descretly pull your Glock and disable the said assialants. They of course did not see this coming as they were blinded by your above mentioned tactical advantage.

That being said - as there are a lot of bugs and stickers and other thorny things in my training area I do not believe that I will be displaying that much of my advantage during training sessions anytime soon.
As far as the husband is concerned I could wear a flour sack with the 1911 tied on and well..... you know the rest.

    1. Yes, when a man loves his woman it takes very little to get his attention. You both are lucky to have each other.

  15. if memory serves, Bonnie (of B&C fame) was only 4'11" and 90 lbs and was very cute in her various pics holding shotguns and a BAR. i think the pencil skirt would be a good look for you. :)

  16. One thing I didn't see mentioned here is how displaying that particular tactical advantage also functions extremely well as an inadvertent hot brass catcher!

  18. I think you should just go with real training photos. Things you actually wear and do are the best.
