(And her!) :D Safety is the important thing, and it sounds like you prepped her well! Went out shooting recently and a kind friend let me try out several of his pistols, so I shot a .45 and .40 for the first time. The .45 was and XDM and the .40 was a Glock. The .45 was definitely more pleasant to shoot than the .40...in fact my hubby is thinking of getting a .45 XDM now, so we can "share" it. :)Molly B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08196049767230616003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1577008135895208329.post-12666180996394700352011-08-04T08:16:25.119-07:002011-08-04T08:16:25.119-07:00Andrea, your gonna be like me....going from no gun...Andrea, your gonna be like me....going from no guns to 5 or 6 practically overnight...lolagirlandhergunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08369419666474343639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1577008135895208329.post-2110171113154405452011-08-03T06:22:02.145-07:002011-08-03T06:22:02.145-07:00It was VERY frustrating. I'll also be getting my LCR in the next few weeks, so I KNOW I can shoot that baby. Even with jut five rounds, I know I can hit what I want with it. I keep going back and forth between the LCR, LCP, and LC9. After what happened with the Steyr, I think for now, I'll stick with the revolver, and see what happens with hubby's XDM or look at the LC9. So much to consider!Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03789004679231213602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1577008135895208329.post-32010899415159497652011-08-02T05:03:00.116-07:002011-08-02T05:03:00.116-07:00Oh Andrea, that is awful!!! Of course he used our guns to practice, but he wanted to use his gun.

Hoping it was just a freak day and you are able to get it to work properly!!agirlandhergunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08369419666474343639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1577008135895208329.post-73238326387952608282011-08-01T06:28:40.470-07:002011-08-01T06:28:40.470-07:00That's great! I've shot a .38, .40, and .357, and honestly, the .357 is the one I liked the best, although the .40 cal is what we have. We'll be sticking with a .40 or 9mm if we decide to pick up another gun.

I did not have a good day at the range on Saturday. First time shooting our new gun, and it jammed right off the bat. We had to have one of the guys come and look at it. Once we figured out what it was (safety lock needed to be reset), it jammed more times than not. It was very frustrating not to be able to shoot when I wanted and WHERE I wanted. Since the sights are completely different than anything else I've ever shot, both hubby and I were trying to find that sweet spot, and we were all over the place. Very frustrating. I was SO looking forward to taking our new gun out, and it was less than stellar. It's only had 100 rounds through it, so we need to still take it out some more and run at least 400-500 before I make a final decision about keeping it. Even though it was frustrating and not as fun as the other times, it was nice getting out on the range with my husband and spending some time together. So I'll take a bad day at the range over no day at all :)Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03789004679231213602noreply@blogger.com
